The working rhythm
What contributors do
Strong contributors bring a point of view and take care with the details around it. Pieces are shaped with the editor before they go live.
- Pitch or submit clear, original music coverage.
- Meet agreed deadlines and flag changes early.
- Credit artists, sources, and records accurately.
- Work through edits until the piece is ready to publish.
Clear expectations
The independent model
Contributors work independently, and this opportunity is unpaid. Yaps On Record does not promise salaries, revenue share, bonuses, or ad splits.
Reader support is optional
Approved contributors can add their own Stripe Payment Link to their profile. If a reader chooses to support a published article, Stripe sends them to that contributor's link directly. Adding a link never affects approval, publishing, or access to the portal.
