About
I am Triston Scales, a Los Angeles producer making sample driven music as Gabscale. I publish Yaps On Record, an independent magazine for artist discovery, production breakdowns, and music essays. I also run Pizza Time Productions, where I help brands make video and social people actually want to watch.
I started making beats in 2015 on a Novation app on my iPad and uploaded them to SoundCloud just to see what would happen. That experiment grew into Ghost (2024) and EDEN (2025), both written and produced in my bedroom studio.
Yaps on Record
Yaps On Record is my independent label and magazine for artists who deserve more coverage. I publish music essays, sampling and production breakdowns, newsletter writing, curated playlists, and artist discovery. All built independently from my bedroom studio in Los Angeles.
Pizza Time Productions
Pizza Time Productions is my video and social studio. I help brands make campaigns, YouTube features, and social content people actually save and share. If you want work that feels native to the internet, not just like an ad, that is what we make.

Do you do free product trades? Occasionally for gear I genuinely want. For dedicated videos, I keep it paid so I can stay honest.
Can you make custom beats? Yes! That lives more in Artist Collab. Pitch me the vibe.

Triston Scales is a Los Angeles based producer, writer, and founder of Yaps On Record. She started making beats in 2015 on a Novation app on an iPad and shared them on SoundCloud to see what would happen. She records as Gabscale, formerly Tristons. Her debut album Ghost came out in 2024, followed by EDEN in 2025, both written and produced entirely in her bedroom studio. Ghost sits in the weight of relationships that do not leave you, while EDEN is softer, a dreamlike meditation on growing up.
