Email addresses when you subscribe to our newsletter, submit music, apply to write, join Take The Mic, or send a press inquiry.
Submission content — tracks, links, bios, articles, images, video links, and any descriptions you provide.
Account information — name, email, profile data when you create an account to manage contributor profiles, Club membership, or submissions.
Payment information — processed securely by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
Usage data — pages viewed, device type, and approximate location via standard analytics.

How We Use Your Information

To send newsletters, Club updates, and editorial announcements.
To review music, writing, and Take The Mic applications and, if selected, to publish on the site, newsletter, YouTube, Instagram, or playlists.
To manage accounts, Club access, and contributor profiles.
To process payments for sample packs, merch, and Club subscriptions.
To respond to press inquiries, brand partnerships, and collaboration requests.
To improve the site and understand what content resonates.

Cookies and Embedded Content

We keep contact and submission records as long as needed to operate Yaps On Record, comply with legal obligations, and honor ongoing licenses for published work. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no system is 100% secure.
